Location: the hotel was close to several fine restaurants and other venues of entertainment, downtown, and a couple food places. Also, it was 2 miles from First Baptist Church. The room was updated & tidy with a refrigerator and microwave and an ashtray, for example.
Some people working there were very rude.

Decent for a Quick Stay
The staff were friendly and accommodating. Appreciated the freshly cleaned towels available on request. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, particularly in the bathrooms. For a better experience, consider arriving after hours. This may help avoid crowded check-in times.

The hotel had a nice pool and the AC worked well, which helped. The room needed more attention to detail. The remodeling appeared hasty with old pipes and a sloppy paint job, and check-in felt less than cute. Surprisingly Clean and Comfy
Stayed for a night and was really impressed. The room was super clean and comfy, no smoke smell at all! Staff was friendly, and they had a nice snack bar. Just a heads up, though, the tap water's not that great. Best to bring your own water. Solid spot to crash!
